Turkish football: Istanbul derby tickets on sale

Lowest-priced ticket costs $35, while best seats for Galatasaray-Fenerbahce derby go for as much as $264

ANKARA (AA) - Tickets for Saturday's classic football derby between Istanbul powerhouses Galatasaray and Fenerbahce went on sale on Wednesday.

The Passolig league pass card said on its website that the derby tickets were available for purchase online at passo.com.tr.

The lowest-priced ticket at Turk Telekom Stadium was 200 Turkish liras ($35), while better seats could go for as much as 1,500 Turkish liras ($264).

Located on the European side of Istanbul, Galatasaray's home Turk Telekom Stadium can seat 52,650 spectators.

Ticket sales are restricted to two per person, according to Passolig.

Any person seven years or older needs to have a Passolig card and ticket to access the stadium.

Ticket prices for away team Fenerbahce fans have yet to be announced.

Galatasaray will host Fenerbahce on Saturday, Sept. 28. The match will kick off at 20.00 p.m. (1700GMT).
