Turkish hardware exports reach $10B in 1st 8 months of this year
Exports to EU countries total $3.1B in January-August period

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's hardware exports totaled $9.9 billion, up 30% year-on-year in the January-August period.
The sector's share in the country's total exports was 6.7% in the eight-month period.
Cetin Tecdelioglu, chairman of the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association, said the exports of hardware products in August amounted to $1 billion, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year.
Exports to the EU countries have amounted to $3.1 billion during the first eight months, increasing by 15.2% compared to the same period last year, while exports to other European countries amounted to $1.6 billion, up 15%.
He said the main destination of the sector's exports in the January-August period was Germany with $869 million. Iraq followed with $469 million and the US with $351 million, he added.
Tecdelioglu further said a hardware fair will be held in Istanbul in May 2023.
