Turkish intelligence, police capture PKK/KCK terrorist

ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and police captured a PKK/KCK terrorist who was responsible for the terror group's organizational activities in Europe, security sources said on Saturday.

Arrested last July in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa, M.S. had been running the terrorist organization’s activities in Europe from Norway, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to media.

Jailed for "being a member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization", M.S. was also responsible for the group's activities in Norway.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union -- has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
