Turkish leader meets members of Bosnian Presidency

Recep Tayyip Erdogan and top-level delegation hold series of talks with Bosnian leaders -- Serb, Bosniak, and Croat

SARAJEVO, Bosnia Herzegovina (AA) - Turkey's president met on Monday with all three members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the members of the nation’s presidency -- one Serb, one Bosniak, and one Croat -- during his two-day visit to Bosnia's capital Sarajevo.

Serb member Milorad Dodik -- the current chair in the rotating chairmanship -- attended, along with Bosniak member Sefik Dzaferovic and Croat member Zeljko Komsic.

Also present at the meeting were Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak, National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli, and Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan.

Later, Erdogan met with Bakir Izetbegovic, chair of the House of Peoples, one of the chambers of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s parliament.

He also met with Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor and received Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

Meanwhile, Turkey's first lady Emine Erdogan visited the Yunus Emre Culture Center in Sarajevo as well as schools in the capital run by Turkey’s state Maarif Foundation.
