Turkish medical company exports guide catheter to various countries

ISTANBUL (AA) - A Turkish medical company, INVAMED, exports its guide catheter which was developed and produced by Turkish engineers at its research and development laboratories, to various countries, it said Saturday.

AngioCATH is manufactured and used in a wide variety of shape designs and it provides exceptional torque control and bending resistance for easier positioning and handling of the catheter, the company said in a statement.

Guide catheters are used in angiography procedures for narrowing or blockage in the arterial veins.

Thanks to its large lumen design, AngioCATH provides complete device compatibility required for many treatment options and scenarios.

It can even access veins in hard-to-reach anatomical regions with its wide range of application features, it added.

Annually, 17 million people die from cardiovascular diseases, according to INVAMED that said medical device technologies used in the detection and treatment processes of heart diseases have great importance.
