Turkish midfielder Kokcu moves to Benfica from Feyenoord

Orkun Kokcu signs 5-year contract with Portuguese football club

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish midfielder Orkun Kokcu joined Benfica from Feyenoord on a five-year agreement on Saturday.

"I have always said that I would only leave Feyenoord when the time is right and the conditions would also be good for the club. I wanted nothing more than to be successful with this great club first," Kokcu said on Feyenoord's official website.

A pure Feyenoord product, Kokcu has been playing for the Dutch club since 2018 on a professional level.

The 22-year-old footballer helped Feyenoord win the 2023 Dutch Eredivisie title and the 2019 Dutch Super Cup.

He made an appearance in the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final defeat against Roma.

Kokcu also made two goals and three assists in 20 matches for Türkiye.
