ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman met Council of Europe head, the U.S. assistant secretary of state and the Kazakh secretary of state in capital Ankara on Thursday.
Kahraman said that he was pleased to receive Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland in the parliament.
Jagland said: "I assure you the cooperation between Turkey and European Council will continue."
The Turkish speaker also met the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, Aaron Wess Mitchell.
Following the meeting, Kahraman showed Mitchell the parts of the parliament that had been bombed during the defeated coup of July 15, 2016.
Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup, which martyred 250 people and injured nearly 2,200 others.
Kahraman also met Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova.
