Turkish soldier martyred during training exercise

SIRNAK, Turkey (AA) - A Turkish soldier was martyred and four others injured as an explosion occurred during a military training exercise in the country’s southeastern Sirnak province, security sources said on Friday.

The explosion took place at a military base in Uludere district during a training activity, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

One of the injured soldiers is said to be in a critical condition.
