Turkish stock exchange closes Wednesday at record-high level

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at a record high of 4,071.87 points, up 0.42% or 17.20 points from the previous close.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 3.2 trillion Turkish liras ($175 billion), with a daily trading volume of 77 billion Turkish liras ($4.14 billion).

During the day, the index's lowest value was 4,040.11, points, while its daily high was 4,098.56.

Oil prices went down around 0.5%.

Global oil benchmark Brent crude was trading at $94.31 per barrel, while the US benchmark West Texas Intermediate was around $88.07.
