Turkish stock exchange closes Wednesday with gains

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index closed at 1,951.17 points on Wednesday, up 0.31% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,951.17 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 6.10 points from Tuesday's close of 1,945.07 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,845.00 by market close, up from $1,839.80.

The price of Brent crude oil was at $88.60 per barrel with a 1.63% gain as of 5.50 p.m. local time (1450GMT).
