Turkish stock exchange down at Thursday's close
BIST 100 index loses nearly 14 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul closed at 2,511.37 points on Thursday, falling 0.55% following the Turkish Central Bank's decision to keep interest rate unchanged.
Earlier in the day, the Central Bank kept its interest rate unchanged at 14% for the seventh consecutive time in line with the market forecast.
Starting the day at 2,528.51 points, the BIST 100 index was down by over 13.83 points from Wednesday's close of 2,525.20.
Its lowest value during the day was 2,505.16 and the highest 2,535.93, while 40 stocks on the index rose, 54 fell and six were flat compared to the previous close.
The total market value was 2 trillion Turkish liras ($114 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of over 29.3 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).
One ounce of gold traded for $1,710.70 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was at $104.1 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1600GMT).
