Turkish stock exchange flat at Friday's open
Benchmark index gains some 6 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 6,688.10 points, up slightly by 0.09%, or 5.99 points, from Thursday's close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Thursday at 6,682.11 points, up 1.69%, with a daily trading volume of 147 billion Turkish liras ($5.47 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.9340 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 30.0295, and a British pound traded for 34.7250 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.40 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,972.85.
