Turkish stocks down at Tuesday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 1,365.27 points, dropping 0.87% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 1,376.37 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 11.96 points over Monday's close at 1,377.23 points.

One ounce of gold was traded for $1,770.50 by market close, flat compared to the previous day, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $66 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT) on Tuesday.
