Turkish stocks flat at Thursday opening
BIST 100 index slips around 1 point from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,293.73 points on Thursday, down by 0.08% or 0.99 points from the previous close.
At Wednesday’s close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surged 2.78% to hit an all-time high of 1,294.72 points, with a record high daily trading volume of 35.1 billion Turkish liras (nearly $4.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 7.7160 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.7220 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also decreased to 9.1520 from 9.1610, while one British pound traded for 10.2310 Turkish liras, down from 10.3000.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $44.22 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
