Turkish stocks flat at Tuesday's open

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 4,566.81 points on Tuesday, decreasing 0.08%, or 3.51 points, from the previous close.

On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 0.96% to close at 4,570.32 points.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 18.6368 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT). The euro/lira rate was at 19.0954, while a British pound traded for 22.0463 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $87.42 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,741.60 at 0700GMT.
