Turkish stocks looking down at Thursday close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Thursday down 1.09% to close at 1,198.32 points.

After starting the week at 1,213.64 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 13.19 points from 1,211.51 points at Wednesday's close.

One ounce of gold sold for $1,900.00 by market close, slightly up from $1,900.45, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent oil was around $42.30 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Thursday, with a day range of $41.45 to $42.49.
