Turkish stocks looking up at Thursday's opening
BIST 100 index climbs 2,360 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 2.09%, or 2,360 points, to start Thursday at 115,236.49 points.
At Wednesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.25% to 112,876.05 points with a daily trading volume of 12 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.9240 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Thursday, down from 5.9490 at Wednesday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 6.5900, versus 6.6170, and one British pound traded for 7.7890 Turkish liras, while it was 7.8320 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $65.56 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Thursday.
