Turkish stocks looking up at Tuesday open
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gains 16.2 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,913.31 points on Tuesday, rising 0.85%, or 16.18 points, from the all-time high of the previous close .
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.31% on Monday to close at 1,897.13, with a daily trading volume of more than 30.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 11.8470 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) from 11.3900 at the previous close.
One euro traded for 13.3730 Turkish lira versus 12.8940 at Monday’s close, while the British pound/Turkish lira exchange rate was 15.8000, up from 15.3390.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $78.65 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
