Turkish stocks start week up
BIST 100 index rises 21 points at opening session

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened the week at 2,004.29 points on Monday, up 21.11 points, or 1.06%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index went down by 0.73% on Friday to close the week at 1,983.18 points, with a daily trading volume of 28.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.08 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was around 13.4290 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), a decline from the previous close of 13.5870.
The euro/lira exchange rate stood at 15.0118 from 15.1530, while a British pound traded for 18.0502 liras, down from 18.2930.
Brent crude oil was sold for around $89.48 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
