Turkish stocks touch fresh peak at Monday's close
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surges 2.35% at close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index surged 2.35% to close Monday at a record high of 6,600.46 points.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 162.72 points from last week's close.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 5.6 trillion Turkish liras ($214.8 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 122 billion Turkish liras ($4.66 billion).
The index's lowest value was 6,476.61, while its daily high was 6,603.98, an intraday record.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,955.85, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.16 per barrel as of 6.24 p.m. local time (1524GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.3438, the euro/lira exchange rate was 29.5943, and a British pound traded at 34.4519 Turkish liras.
