Turkish stocks up 0.88% at midweek close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended midweek trading up 0.88% to close at 103,457.26 points on Wednesday.

Starting the day at 102,809.75 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index climbed 901.11 points from Tuesday's close at 102,556.15 points.

An ounce of gold sold for $1,425.00 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,419.70 at the previous close.

The price of Brent oil was $64.27 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT) on Wednesday, with a day range of $63.69 to $64.66.
