Turkish stocks up 0.93% at Thursday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 111,815.08 points on Thursday, up 0.93% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 112,504.56 points with a sharp increase. As of the daily close, it earned 1,029.7 points from the midweek's close of 110,785.38 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,638 by market close, down from $1,645.30 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $50.80 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Thursday.
