Turkish stocks up at Tuesday's opening
BIST 100 index gains over 1,000 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 1.18%, or 1,035.02 points, on Tuesday to start the day at 88,923.35 points.
At Monday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index slipped 8.07% at 87,888.34 points, with a daily trading volume of 6.4 billion Turkish liras ($998 million).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 6.4280 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, versus 6.3980 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 7.1820, compared to 7.1260, and one British pound traded for 7.8840 Turkish liras. It was 7.8640 at Monday's close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $30.80 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Tuesday.
