ANKARA (AA) - Turkish warplanes bombed PKK terrorist sites in southeastern Sirnak province Thursday, military sources said.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said fighter jets dropped bombs in Sirnak's Cudi and Guclukonak rural areas between 9.33 a.m. (0633 GMT) and 10.45 a.m. (0745GMT), and destroyed seven targets.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015. Since then, nearly 600 security personnel have been martyred and more than 5,000 PKK terrorists killed.
