Turkiye, Qatar to hold webinar on fintech next week

ANKARA (AA) - The Presidency the Republic of Turkiye Finance Office in collaboration with the Qatar Financial Centre is set to hold a webinar on financial technology, or fintech, and participation finance on Feb. 23-24.

The virtual event, FinTech and Digital Participation Banking: Turkish Solutions and Opportunities in Qatar, aims to contribute to the strategic cooperation between Turkiye and Qatar, according to a statement by the Finance Office on Wednesday.

While some 20 Turkish fintech companies will present their projects for "tomorrow’s financial world," Turkiye's three participation banks will display their innovative digital solutions to enhance customer experience.

The webinar will also host representatives from the Participation Banks Association of Turkiye, Qatar Development Bank and Qatar FinTech Hub.

The Finance Office plans to hold webinars with other countries as well to support the internationalization of Turkish fintech and participation finance ecosystems.

The event will attract a wide audience, including fintech companies, participation finance institutions, investors, academics and public institutions.
