Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Wednesday on low note

Benchmark index falls 95.07 points from previous close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 8,945.80 points, down 1.05% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 95.07 points from Tuesday's close of 9,040.87 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 7.7 trillion liras ($240.1 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 37 billion liras ($1.15 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,306 while Brent crude oil sold for around $ 89.83 per barrel as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 31.9354, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.6220, while the British pound traded at 40.3341 liras.
