Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at Thursday open

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,578.72 points on Thursday, gaining 9.96 points, or 0.39%, from the previous close.

The BIST 100 saw a record high closing of 2,554.28 points on Wednesday, while it also climbed to an all-time high during trading hours, with a daily trading volume of almost 42.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.6 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 16.4575 as of 10.07 a.m. local time (0707GMT), up 0.38% for the day.

The euro/lira exchange rate was at 17.5687, a daily gain of 0.76%, while one British pound traded for 20.6150 liras, up 0.78%.

Brent crude oil was trading around $114.03 per barrel with an over 1% loss ahead of an OPEC+ meeting.
