Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul down at close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed at 2,857.18 points on Monday, down by 0.25%, or 7.07 points, from the previous close.

During the day, the index's lowest value was 2,844.60, while its daily high was 2,885.34.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.3 trillion Turkish liras ($127 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 18.7 billion liras ($1 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,792.30 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $94.58 per barrel as of 19.00 p.m. local time (1700GMT), down 3.7% on a daily basis.
