Turkiye's Borsa Istanbul ends Monday up
BIST 100 gains over 12 points from Friday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 2,085.76 points, up 0.62% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 2,089.72 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 12.82 points from Friday's close of 2,072.93 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 2,083.55 points, while its daily high was 2,102.97.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (some $123 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 36.5 billion liras ($2.8 billion).
During the day, 78 stocks on the index rose while 22 fell compared to Friday's close.
The highest trading volumes were posted by flag carrier Turkish Airlines, private lender Akbank and petrochemical firm Petkim.
Gold miner Koza Altin was the best performer, with its shares up 8.08%, while stocks of iron/steel producers Kardemir saw the sharpest drop, 3.41%.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $86 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).
