Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul flat at open

BIST 100 index falls less than 1 point from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,407.33 points on Thursday, marginally down by 0.03%, or 0.75 point, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped by 1.07% to 2,408.08 points at Wednesday's close, with a daily trading volume of 23.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.3 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 17.4677 as of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT) from 17.4570 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 17.4840 from 17.5390, while a British pound traded for 20.6655 Turkish liras, down from 20.7160 at the previous close.
