Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul flat at open

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,449.40 points on Tuesday, down slightly by 0.08%, or 1.87 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 2.89% to 2,451.27 points at Monday's close, with a daily trading volume of 25.3 billion Turkish liras ($1.44 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 17.5487 as of 10.15 a.m. local time (0715GMT) from 17.4880 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 17.8587 from 17.7600, while a British pound traded for 21.0244 Turkish liras, down from 21.0770 at the previous close.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $106.35 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,705.85.
