Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at Friday's open

BIST 100 index gains nearly 10.3 points from previous close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,911.13 points on Friday, up 0.26%, or 10.28 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.53% to end Thursday at 3,900.85 points, with a daily trading volume of 95 billion Turkish liras ($5.09 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5990 as of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate was at 18.1740, and a British pound was trading for 20.8160 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $92.08 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,623.35.
