ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,404.1 points on Wednesday, up 0.38%, or 12.72 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.98% to end Tuesday at a record high close of 3,391.38 points with a daily trading volume of 122.9 billion Turkish liras ($6.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose slightly to 18.2360 as of 10.12 a.m. local time (0712GMT), versus 18.2260 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 18.0565 from 18.0510, while a British pound traded for 20.9607 Turkish liras, down from 21.0700.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $91.7 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,709.2.
