Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,605.80 points on Monday, up by 0.52%, or 13.42 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 1.93% to 2,592.38 points at Friday's close, with a daily trading volume of 32.4 billion liras ($1.8 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 17.9475 as of 10.28 a.m. local time (0728GMT) from 17.9200 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 18.3588 from 18.2580, while a British pound traded for 21.8834 Turkish liras, up slightly from 21.8380 at the previous close.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $103.5 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,782.35.
