Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 2,554.08 points, up 0.43% from Thursday's close.

Starting the day at 2,554.76 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 10.87 points from the previous close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 2,525.17, while its daily high was 2,570.63.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.09 trillion Turkish liras ($120.58 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 34.99 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion).

During the day, 61 stocks on the index rose, 34 fell, and five were unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,829.10, while Brent crude oil sold at around $113.12 per barrel as of 7.05 p.m. local time (1605GMT).
