Türkiye's consumer sentiment falls in December
Consumer confidence index decreases to 75.6 in December from November's 14-month high, official data shows

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish consumer sentiment collapsed in December from November's 14-month high, according to latest official figures released on Tuesday.
The consumer confidence index decreased 1.3% month-on-month to 75.6 in December, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement.
In November, the figure was at a 14-month high of 76.6.
The index is a vital gauge of the economy's overall performance, indicating people's sentiments on financial standing and the general economic situation, along with expenditure and saving tendencies.
General economic situation expectation over the next 12 months plummeted 4% compared to a month ago, while financial situation of household at present declined 1.5%.
