Türkiye's current account sees $3B deficit in September
12-month rolling deficit amounts to $39.16B, shows Central Bank data

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's current account balance posted a deficit of $2.96 billion in September, against a surplus of $2.7 billion in the same month last year, according to official figures released on Friday.
The country's 12-month rolling deficit totaled $39.16 billion, announced the Turkish Central Bank.
September's data was due to the good's deficit rising to $8 billion, up $6.65 billion compared to the same month of the previous year, the bank said.
Excluding gold and energy trade, the current account balance saw a surplus of $6.8 billion, increasing from $6.65 billion.
The services sector posted a net surplus of $6 billion, up by $1.3 billion, while the travel item, under services, recorded a net inflow of $4.55 billion in the month, up by $743 million.
Direct investments saw a net inflow of $488 million.
