Türkiye's stocks rise to close Tuesday at record high

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 0.66% for an all-time high close of 4,360.28 points on Tuesday.

After starting the day at 4,356.37 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 28.62 points from Monday's close of 4,331.66 points.

The index also saw an intraday record of 4,412.18 points during Tuesday.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 3.5 trillion Turkish liras ($188.2 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 121 billion liras ($6.5 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,709.95 as of 18.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT), while the price of Brent crude oil was at $97.80 per barrel.
