Twin Baghdad blasts kill three, injure dozen
Iraqi authorities typically blame such attacks on embattled Daesh terrorist group

BAGHDAD (AA) - At least three people were killed and another seven injured on Monday when two bombs shook separate areas of Baghdad, according to a local police source.
Baghdad police officer Zaher al-Khafagi told Anadolu Agency that an explosive device had been detonated as a patrol of tribal Sunni fighters passed through Baghdad’s northern Al-Tarmiyya area.
At least one tribal fighter was killed by the blast while two others were injured, he said.
"A second device was detonated shortly afterward near a popular market in Baghdad’s western Al-Bakriyya district, killing another two civilians and injuring five," al-Khafagi said.
In recent weeks and months, devastating bombings -- frequently featuring explosive-packed vehicles -- have become an almost daily occurrence in Iraq’s violence-prone capital.
Authorities typically blame such attacks, which often target civilian areas, on the Daesh terrorist group.
