UEFA Champions League: No goals scored in two matches

ISTANBUL (AA) - On Tuesday night, the UEFA Champions League witnessed two goalless draws in the first leg of last 16 round matches, just for second time in its history.

Liverpool drew Bayern Munich 0-0 as the host club had only two shots on target while German club could not produce any shots on target during 90 minutes.

The second leg at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena will take place on March 13.

Hosting Spanish giants Barcelona, France’s Lyon gave the guest club its fourth draw in five matches.

The second leg of the goalless draw will take place at Barcelona's Nou Camp Stadium on March 13.

According to UEFA, "this is only the second time in round of 16 history there have been two goalless draws on the same night."

First leg matches of Round 16 are as follows:

Feb. 12:

Manchester United v Paris: 0-2

Roma v Porto: 2-1

Feb. 13:

Tottenham Hotspur v Borussia Dortmund: 3-0

Ajax v Real Madrid: 1-2

Feb. 19:

Lyon v Barcelona: 0-0

Liverpool v Bayern Munich: 0-0

Feb. 20:

Schalke v Manchester City

Atletico Madrid v Juventus
