Over 120 int'l journalists benefit cooperation deal between Turkish Airlines, Accredited Correspondents at UN

GENEVA (AA) - Turkey’s national flag carrier and a UN-accredited correspondents association inked a cooperation deal on Wednesday.

Turkish Airlines and Association of Accredited Correspondents at the United Nations (ACANU) signed the agreement at the UN Geneva office in Switzerland.

Nesih Gumus, Turkish Airlines’ country manager in Geneva, and ACANU President of Bodi Hugger met to ink the agreement.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Gumus expressed proud to witness the cooperation of Turkish Airlines and ACANU.

“I think that ACANU-member journalists will be pleased with the corporate member advantages presented by Turkish Airlines that fly 309 different points in 124 countries worldwide,” he said.

Hugger, for his part, said the association was happy to make a cooperation agreement with the greatest aviation company of the world, calling it a "unique" deal.

It is the first time that ANACU signed a cooperation deal with an airline, Hugger said.

More than 120 international journalists of ACANU will benefit from a special discount, extra baggage right and plenty of other advantages under the agreement which will be effective for a year.

The reporters and representatives of the world’s leading news agencies, TV channels, newspapers, and radios are among the members of ACANU.

The association is the only meeting place of the press members who operate in Geneva, one of the leading centers of the UN and international diplomacy.
