WASHINGTON (A) – At least one person was killed Thursday when a speeding vehicle struck a group of pedestrians in the heart of New York City.

The York Fire Department said 12 other victims were injured in the "motor vehicle accident”.

Photographs on social media of the area appear to show a maroon sedan propped up on two wheels on the corner of West 45th St. and Broadway in the popular Times Square area.
