Building with 12 apartments had residents inside when it collapsed, according to eye witnesses

ISTANBUL (AA) - A six-story building in the Kartal district of Istanbul has collapsed on Wednesday.
Scores of firefighters, police officials, medical personnel as well as national Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) teams are currently at the scene for rescue mission.
Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya is on his way to Cevizli neighborhood of Kartal to reach the scene, officials said.
The building, comprised of 12 apartments, had residents inside when it collapsed, according to eye witnesses.
