ISLAMABAD (AA) – At least two police officers were killed and 51 wounded Monday when gunmen attacked a police training center in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, authorities said.

At least six terrorists attacked the accommodation of the police training college in Quetta city after they infiltrated the complex where more than 200 cadets stayed, according to a statement by police.

Police said three attackers were killed in the attack and all cadets have been rescued by the Pakistani special operations commandos.

Cadets were reportedly taken held hostage after security forces began operations to naturalize the attackers.

Security forces are continuing the operation to capture other assailants.

Separatist militias in Balochistan province have carried out deadly terror attacks on security forces since 2014.
