UPDATE WITH MORE FIGURES

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s benchmark stock index was down 1.02% to close Friday at 1,328.73 points.
Starting the day at 1,348.47 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index diminished 13.76 points over Thursday’s close of 1,342.49 points.
During the day, the index hovered between 1,337.58 and 1,351.65 points -- 41 stocks on the index rose, 54 fell, compared to Thursday.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 989 billion Turkish liras ($125 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 31.3 billion Turkish liras ($4 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by private lender Garanti BBVA, national flag carrier Turkish Airlines and iron/steel producer Kardemir.
Stocks of Akcansa, a cement producer, was the best performer, with its shares up 10%, while stocks of state lender Industrial Development Bank (TSKB) dropped the most with 9.74%.
The price of one ounce of gold was $1,808.00 by market close, up from $1,807.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $48 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Friday.
