Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu attends police graduation ceremony in Doha before meeting emir

DOHA (AA) - Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday received Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu in Doha, the Qatari News Agency (QNA) has reported.

Earlier Thursday, Soylu attended a graduation ceremony for police cadets at Doha’s Qatari Police College.

The ceremony was also attended by the Qatari emir and Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Jordanian Interior Minister Ibrahim al-Mubaidain was also present at the ceremony, which saw the graduation of more than 100 police cadets from Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine and Yemen.

After the ceremony, graduates performed a parade outside the college headquarters.

Soylu arrived in Doha earlier Thursday for a one-day visit. While in Qatar, he is expected to meet with a number of Qatari officials.
