RIYADH (AA) - Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday it has evidence of Iran’s involvement in the recent drone attacks on its Aramco oil facilities.

"Iran-made Delta Wing drones participated in the attack on Aramco," Col. Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi Defense Ministry, said in a news conference aired by Saudi satellite TV channel Al-Arabiya.

Al-Maliki asserted that the attack "came from north to south and certainly was supported by Iran".

According to the spokesman, the attack was carried out by "18 drones and seven cruise missiles".

"Ya Ali" Iranian cruise missiles were used in the attack, al-Maliki said, adding investigations are underway to accurately locate the launching point of drones and missiles.

On Saturday, armed drones struck two facilities of Saudi Arabia's oil company Aramco.

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks.
