ANKARA/ADANA, Turkey (AA) – Five Daesh/ISIS terror suspects have been remanded in custody in Turkey on Saturday.

In southern Adana province, one of three Daesh/ISIS terror suspects, who were arrested on Thursday, was remanded in custody.

The three were arrested for allegedly being part of certain groups of the terror organization and for participating in organizational meetings.

While one of the suspects was remanded in custody by a criminal court of peace, other two were released on bail.

A hunt for two more fugitives are ongoing.

In the capital Ankara, following a technical and physical tracking, one Egyptian and three Iraqi nationals were arrested on Saturday over their alleged links to the Daesh/ISIS terror group.

Multiple digital materials were seized by the police. The documents, including ones about bomb-making, revealed that the group was plotting terror activities in Turkey.

All four arrested suspects were remanded in custody by a criminal court of peace.

In 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terror group.

The country has since been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists multiple times, with 315 people killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed assaults.

In response, Turkey launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad to prevent further attacks.
