ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday met his Spanish and United Arab Emirates counterparts on the sidelines of a gathering of Group of 20 (G-20) foreign ministers in India’s capital New Delhi.

In a tweet, Cavusoglu said he discussed relations including economic cooperation with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He thanked UAE's "earthquake solidarity" after last month’s twin earthquakes in southern Türkiye.

Cavusoglu also held talks with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares and thanked him for Spain's support after the disaster.

"Discussed #NATO enlargement & situation in #Ukraine," he added in the tweet.

The Turkish foreign minister later met his Croatian counterpart Gordan Radman and said they discussed the current situation in the Balkans.

"Still under the impression of the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye, which caused terrible loss. Good to meet dear Mevlut Cavusoglu in New Delhi and exchange on latest developments," Radman said on Twitter.

Cavusoglu then held talks with Brazil's Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira which focused on the continuation of cooperation in regional matters.

Cavusoglu also expressed gratitude for Brazil's "helping hand" in the aftermath of the Feb. 6 twin tremors.

Also, meeting with Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, the duo discussed the country's transport cooperation.

"Thanked Ali Sabry for their solidarity after earthquake," Cavusoglu said.

"I expressed solidarity with his people at this difficult time after the devastating earthquakes. May Türkiye build back stronger!" Sabry said on Twitter.
