UPDATE - Turkish stocks flat at Friday close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the week at 1,408.14 points, up 0.03% from the previous close.
After starting Friday at 1,404.10, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 0.38 points from Thursday's close of 1,407.76 points.
During Friday's trading, the BIST 100 hovered between 1,400.49 and 1,412.56 points, with 50 stocks on the index rising, 49 down, and one flat from the previous close.
Closing the week with a market value of around 1 trillion Turkish liras ($124 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 15.8 billion liras ($1.96 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by private lender Garanti BBVA, iron and steel manufacturer Eregli Demir Celik, and energy company Odas.
Stocks of conglomerate Net Holding climbed the most, up 6.49%, while shares of energy company Odas dropped the most, 8.97%.
One ounce of gold was traded for $1,780.00 by market close, up from $1,749.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $66.60 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT) on Friday.
